hello

My name is Cooper Hansen and I make a lot of art. I am much better at making art than I am at writing, especially about myself, but here goes. All of the art I create has to do with themes of nature, family, self-reliance, and fun! Growing up My dad got my into hunting and the outdoors, which has a big influence on what I make and how I think. On the other side my mom pushed me to do a lot of different artsy activities which I loved and gave me a great starting point to continue to form skills that I am still working on today. Throughout the years I have developed a few unique habits, but the one that stands out most in my work has been my use of wood. I gather wood, mostly from the mountains, and process it down into whatever I may want to use it for at the time. It is hard work but I feel like not only is it worth it, but also brings me closer to the entire 'making' process. Please explore the different pages and check out all the things I make.
