Wood Burnings

This is one of my favorite things to do, burn wood! Most of the wood I use comes from the mountains, maybe an hour outside of Winter Park. Most of the pine up there has streaks of blue and grey due to the pine beetles that killed them. I use a small wood burner, and sometimes a blowtorch, to burn in the image and then I water down some acrylic paint and add some translucent dashes of color.
